Another Nippon Denim Market Tote

One of my recent finishes is another Grocery Bag made from a fantastic denim fabric from Robert Kaufman called Nippon Denim.

And guess what? This fabric is not only wonderful 8 ounce denim, it’s also already sold out at Robert Kaufman and just about everywhere online!

I am bummed about this because it has been a while since I’ve come across such nice denim and I would have loved to get more. 😢😢😢

However, I did manage to get a bolt of the Prussian Blue colorway so I guess I shouldn’t cry so much. But the fabric hoarder part of me is still very sad though.

Since I do have some of this fabric, you’ll probably find remnants of it in my etsy shop from time to time. In fact, here is one now!

In other grocery bag making news, there is a workshop to make these bags. It’s in Albany, Oregon on November 15th, 2025 at Brigitte’s Place.

If you are in the Salem, Albany, Corvallis, or anywhere else in the Mid-Willamette Valley area, see the details and register here.
