Passport Pouch PDF Sewing Pattern

Sew a simple case to hold your passport with this PDF sewing pattern.

This passport pouch has two compartments and will hold up to three passports total.

It closes with a magnetic snap. Some of the example photos show it with hidden magnetic snaps. The instructions are the prong style magnetic snaps, but of course you can use other types of closures.

The passport pouch is a quick 1-2 hour project for those with solid sewing experience.

  Sewing Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You are familiar with using your machine and have completed some sewing projects following written instructions.
  
  Approximate Finished Dimensions: 5.5” high x 4” wide (14cm x 10cm). This holds passports from ANY COUNTRY. All passports adhere to the criteria of the International Civil Aviation Organization and are all the same B7 format size.
  
  Supplies You Provide:
  • 1/4 yard exterior fabric (FQ ok)
  • 1/4 yard lining fabric (FQ ok)
  • 1/3 yard fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101)
  • 4.5” wide x 10” high piece of flannel (used as interlining)
  • (1) 14mm magnetic snap with prongs
  • Fray Check seam sealant
  • 1/4" foot with guide - pattern pieces include a 1/4" SA
  • Small scraps of batting or fleece
  • Basic sewing tools/notions (machine, thread, scissors, etc.)
