Make a medium size messenger style bag using this PDF sewing pattern.
This bag has two inset pockets--one under the flap and then a second one inside. A tutorial for making a zippered pocket can also be found here.
The inside is roomy enough to hold a wallet, water bottle, paperback book, ipad in a pouch, etc.
This project is not too complicated or long, and at the end, you'll have a beautiful new bag! For people with solid sewing skills and bag making experience this can be completed in an afternoon.
The pattern document is 18-pages total: 10-pages of instructions with color photos + 8-pages of black and white pattern pieces.
If you are using heavy fabric to make this bag you might consider using the strap method in this blog post. The strap end and footing can get thick.
11" wide x 10" high x 3" depth front to back (28cm x 26cm x 8cm)
