IMPORTANT INFO: This is a PDF SEWING PATTERN you download & print at home.
Sew your scraps into pretty bookmarks with this sewing pattern.
These are great scrap bin busters and are a 20-minute, or less, project for a lot of people. Make them for teacher gifts, to stock your online store or next craft show, for fundraising events, etc.
The way these are made is pretty unique. I've never encountered this way of sewing squares/rectangles and it's pretty amazing because it will give you beautiful square corners without needing to trim the fabric.
There is also no turning it out through a tiny hole that needs to be stitched closed later.
Besides the bookmark, you can use this same technique for patch pockets, closure tabs for bags and accessories, straps, fabric cuffs, patches for clothing or other surface embellishment, textile wall hangings, etc.
This document is a paper and ink friendly 5-pages: 4-pages of text/color photo instructions + 1-page of full size pattern pieces.
Finished bookmarks are for sale in my etsy shop here.
